<summary type="text">Exotic species in the Hudson River basin: a history of invasions and introductions.
Mills, E.L.; Scheuerell, M.D.; Strayer, D.L.; Carlton, J.T.
This is a compilation of information about the distribution of exotic organisms in the fresh waters of the Hudson River basin. The authors estimate that 10% of introduced species have had major ecological impacts. The introduction of exotic species in the Hudson River basin reflects that of those in the Great Laurentian Lakes, but seem to have occurred earlier. This is likely due to the earlier influence of human commerce in the Hudson Valley.
