Summary:
This literature review summarizes the existing state-of-knowledge on how climate change affects cycles of element at the ecosystem scale. It pulls information gained from long-term observations, experimental manipulations, and gradient and modeling studies. A case study from the Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest in New Hampshire, USA using a biogeochemical model is also presented to estimate how ecological processes may respond to shifts in climate.
