Summary:
The primary objective of this study was to quantify land use at three scales (reach, riparian, and watershed) that captured land use from different proportions of the watershed. The authors also compared and contrasted watershed characteristics in the East of the Hudson (EOH) and West of the Hudson (WOH) watersheds. The study also looks to determine if reach- and riparian-scale land uses reflect that of the watershed scale, if certain landue categories are more or less prevalent at the different scales and does the scale-land use relationship differs between the EOH and WOH watersheds.
