dc.description.abstract Article 9 in a series of 10, ten stream sites within the NYC drinking water supply system (one site in the Schoharie Creek basin) were selected as part of synoptic study to gauge aquatic conditions and watershed environmental variables. This report used measurements of primary productivity and respiration as key processes of metabolic rates, which in combination with certain environmental influences - temperature and sunlight, trophic webs, land and resources use - can serve as a basis for making assessments of ecosystem health. en_US
