This document examines nitrogen pollution from a regional perspective focusing on New York and New England. The authors address the inputs of anthropogenic nitrogen in the Northeast, the ecological effects of elevated anthropogenic inputs, and also what the possible management options to mitigate the effects of anthropogenic nitrogen pollution are.
